The advocacy work of the California Black Health Network (CBHN) relies on the support of generous donors, fundraising events, and a limited number of other sources that constitute “unrestricted funds.” In California, we live in an environment of reduced and limited resources. These restraints have severely impacted the very programs that were and are designed to care for the State’s vulnerable populations, including African Americans.
