Breaking Barriers: Uncovering Links Between Pregnancy, Toxic Chemicals, and Breast Cancer in Black Communities

CBHN, the Sequoia Foundation, and Breast Cancer Prevention Partners will share innovative research linking environmental chemical exposure during pregnancy to rising rates of premenopausal breast cancer (PMBC) in the Black community. The session will present findings from our pilot study leveraging statewide databases, analyzing racial disparities, and introducing an approach to toxic chemical detection. This session and work is supported by the California Breast Cancer Research Program (CBCRP).
