CBHN is working to ignite a Black Health Movement in California to create a more empowered community of individuals to become more proactive about their overall health and well-being, focus more on prevention, and take ownership of their healthcare. We’re launching a 5-part series on “Making the Healthcare System Work Better for You”, to help you make more informed healthcare decisions, and gain the knowledge, skills, tools and resources to make the healthcare system work better for you.

The series will feature Dr. Glenda F. Newell-Harris, M.D., a distinguished physician, author, speaker, and patient advocate, who is also the US Department of Health and Human Services Advisory Committee appointee and YesCare Regional Medical Director. With a career spanning decades, Dr. Newell-Harris has been at the forefront of addressing health disparities and championing equal access to high-quality healthcare for all. She will leverage her extensive knowledge and experience to guide you through the complexities of the healthcare system.

In Session 5, “How to Participate in the Decision-making for Your Care”, you will learn how to participate in your medical decision-making process. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights and the power to make the healthcare system work better for you!
