Strive Community Health Institute Grand Opening
STRIVE Community Health Institute (STRIVE Institute). STRIVE Community Health Institute (STRIVE Institute) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides educational culturally congruent training, workforce and professional development to the next generation of providers who aspire to improve healthcare outcomes in the maternal and behavioral health sectors. For the past seventeen years, STRIVE Institute has collaborated with community-based organizations and academic institutions to develop educational and health pathways that promote equity, awareness and opportunities among communities who have the greatest need and potential.
On Friday November 1, 2024, STRIVE Institute is hosting a Fall Maternal & Behavioral Health Symposium. The keynote speaker for this event is the California Surgeon General, Dr. Diana Ramos, MD; in addition, they will have a host of subject matter and policy experts to promote awareness of toxic stress, trauma-informed care practices and managing implicit bias; collectively strengthening integrated systems of care that serve to improve critical connections and enhance cross-sector services that reduce social determinants of health, maternal and mental health disparities. The day will include a resource fair, a health symposium, and an allied health mixer.
